Description:
A long lived cold hardy perennial plant belonging to the Brassicaceae family. The Roots are used as a spice when cooking or made into a condiment.

Growing:
  • ​perennial
  • sun - part shade
  • moist well draining soil
  • moderate water
  • harvest: roots

Health benefits:
  • Sinuses (helps clear mucus from nasal cavities)
  • UTI's relief
  • Bronchitis relief

Herb pairings:
Horseradish pairs well with rich or fatty foods, capers, celery, chives, cream, dill, mustard, vinegar, yogurt, beef, fish, ham, potatoes and sausages.

​Notes:
  • can be considered invasive
  • some prefer to grow in a pot verses in the ground
