​Description:
Welsh onions are a compact, clumping, hollow stemmed plant with mild, chive-like flavor. Welsh onion plants are perennial.

  • fertile moist well draining
  • moderate water
  • harvest: leaves and flowers

Herb pairing:
Welsh onions pair well with vegetables, eggs, fish, soups, sauces, lemon, parsley, sesame oil, vinegar, garlic, soy sauce, sour cream, herb butters, basil, cress, dill, marjoram, oregano and thyme.

How to use?
Snip whole fresh stems. Welsh onions need little cooking. The flowers can be used also.
