Garlic Chives

​Description:
Garlic chives is a perennial, flat, grass-like leaves with a mild, part onion-part garlic flavor. This is herb is very similar to common chives with the same growing habit. Very easy herb to grow.

Growing:
  • ​perennial
  • full sun
  • moist well drained soil
  • moderate water
  • harvest: leaves and flowers

Herb pairings:
Garlic chives pair well with potatoes, vegetables, eggs, fish, soups, sauces, lemon, parsley, sesame oil, vinegar, garlic, soy sauce, sour cream, herb butters, basil, cress, dill, marjoram, oregano and thyme.

How to use?
Snip or use whole fresh stems. Garlic chives need little cooking. The flowers can be used also.
