​Description:
Chives is a perennial herb with, flat, grass-like leaves. The flavor of these herb resembles a mild onion flavor. Similar growing habits as garlic chives. This is a easy herb to grow.

Growing:
  • ​perennial
  • part shade
  • moist well drained soil
  • moderate water
  • harvest: leaves and flowers

Herb pairings:
Chives pair well with potatoes, vegetables, eggs, fish, soups, sauces, lemon, parsley, sesame oil, vinegar, garlic, soy sauce, sour cream, herb butters, basil, cress, dill, marjoram, oregano and thyme.

How to use?
Snip or use whole fresh stems. Chives need little cooking. The flowers can be used also.
